Newly Named Glendora Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital Announces Governing Board and Executive Committee

(GLENDORA, CALIF – October 30, 2019) – Glendora Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital, newly established to serve the behavioral health care needs of Los Angeles County, today announced appointments to its Governing Board and Medical Executive Committee.

Glendora Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital, formerly Glendora Community Hospital and a member of Prime Healthcare, was established to meet the growing demand for in-patient geriatric psychiatric services in the East San Gabriel Valley. The hospital is currently undergoing a renovation to expand from 21 to 44 beds, with plans to add additional beds and related services in the future.

Joining the hospital’s Governing Board are: Parrish Scarboro, Board Chair and CEO of the Behavioral Health Hospital; Cyrus Nasserian, MD, Chief of Staff and Medical Director, Psychiatry; Oliver Solomon, DO, Medical Director, General Medicine; Prakash Patel, MD, Medical Staff Member; Sanjay Khedia, MD, Medical Staff Member; Gordon Robert, Sr., Community Member; David De Jesus, Community Member; and Robert Kuhn, Community Member.

“Our new Governing Board members embody the spirit of community and bring unique expertise and diverse backgrounds to our organization. Most importantly, each member is genuinely committed to bettering the community. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen behavioral health within the Glendora community,” said Scarboro, who also serves as CEO of San Dimas Community Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare.

A Medical Executive Committee (MEC) was also appointed to serve the facility. Its members include: Cyrus Nasserian, MD, Chief of Staff and Medical Director, Psychiatry; Oliver Solomon, DO, Medical Director, General Medicine; Sanjay Khedia, MD, Medical Staff Member; Prakash Patel, MD, Medical Staff Member; and Wadie Alkhouri, MD, Medical Staff Member.
